The Rega Nd7 represents a groundbreaking development in moving magnet technology, offering outstanding performance that takes previous technology to a new level. Developed over a period of ten years, the Nd7 uses the latest technology to set new standards in the world of cartridges.

Innovative moving magnet technology

The Nd7 was developed with the aim of pushing the boundaries of moving magnet technology. It is the first cartridge of its kind to be equipped with an ultra-strong neodymium magnet. This magnet, known as Nd55, is the most powerful magnet commercially available and enables uniquely precise sound reproduction through its high energy efficiency.

Finest detail reproduction

Each Nd7 is handcrafted by highly skilled technicians. The cartridge uses a "Fine Line" nude diamond profile that provides the highest level of detail. This profile is identical to that used in the high-end MC models Apheta 3 and Aphelion 2. The diamond has an extremely small radius of only 3 µm in the horizontal and 30 µm in the vertical view, allowing precise adaptation to the smallest changes in the vinyl surface and ensuring exceptional detail.

Excellent generator geometry

The design of the Nd7 is based on a newly developed generator geometry with perfect symmetry, resulting in a highly accurate channel balance. In addition, the pole gap has been optimized to achieve superior linearity and low crosstalk characteristics. These features provide an expanded sound stage and improved frequency response compared to previous models.

Lightweight and sturdy construction

The Nd7 uses a housing made of glass-filled PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), a lightweight and highly rigid material that minimizes stress on the tonearm bearings and supports the precise movement of the cartridge.
