With the Rega Planar 6 combined with the high-quality Rega Ania MC cartridge, Rega presents an analog masterpiece for discerning vinyl lovers. This combination combines technical innovation, meticulous craftsmanship, and a design philosophy consistently focused on the highest fidelity and precision.
The heart of the Planar 6 – the newly developed chassis – underscores Rega's uncompromising approach: The ultra-lightweight Tan-Cast 8 foam core, originally developed for the aerospace industry, is sandwiched between two layers of a particularly rigid high-pressure laminate (HPL). This construction ensures maximum resonance suppression and an extremely stable foundation for music reproduction.
Thanks to the newly tuned 24V low-noise synchronous motor combined with the external NEO PSU MK2 power supply, the turntable benefits from a precise and low-vibration drive. The integrated DSP generator produces a nearly perfect sine wave, which further significantly improves the rotational stability of the turntable.
Another highlight is the handcrafted Rega RB330 tonearm. Optimized through years of development experience, it features a specially balanced stainless steel counterweight and offers excellent tracking and minimal friction—ideal for demanding listening sessions.
Visually, the Planar 6 impresses with its matte surfaces in Polaris Grey or white, combined with glossy polymer edges – a stylish appearance that fits perfectly into modern living spaces.
The set is complemented by the Rega Ania MC cartridge, which draws on technology from the high-end flagship models Apheta 2 and Aphelion. Its transparent casing is not only visually striking, but also houses the finest technology: The reduction of moving mass to a minimum allows for particularly precise tracking of the groove and guarantees exceptionally detailed sound reproduction. Like all Rega cartridges, the Ania MC is meticulously handcrafted – quality you can hear.
