With the Technics SL-40CBT, the manufacturer presents a turntable that combines classic hi-fi tradition with contemporary features. Based on the proven coreless direct drive system, the model was specifically designed for the modern lifestyle. Its compact design, integrated Bluetooth® connectivity, and elegant finishes make it a device that impresses both technically and visually.

Natural design with a warm feel

The SL-40CBT's cabinet is made of high-quality MDF, a fine-pored wood fiber material. This material not only ensures stability but also lends the turntable a natural warmth and understated appeal. This allows it to blend harmoniously into a wide variety of living environments, combining technology with elegant aesthetics.

Analog playback with digital convenience

A special feature of this model is the combination of analog vinyl enjoyment with wireless flexibility. Thanks to integrated Bluetooth®, you can connect the turntable directly to wireless speakers or headphones. No complicated cable connections or complex installations are required – your music enjoyment begins immediately.

Ready for immediate use for record lovers

The SL-40CBT comes with a pre-installed cartridge and an integrated phono preamplifier. Both components are precisely matched, allowing you to connect the turntable directly to active speakers or to an amplifier with passive speakers. This allows you to enjoy authentic vinyl playback without any detours.

Precise tonearm construction

Despite its compact design, the SL-40CBT remains true to the classic S-shape of the tonearm. The minimized tonearm base reduces space requirements without compromising tracking precision. Micrometer-precise manufacturing guarantees reliable tracking accuracy and high playback quality.

High-quality pickup for clear sound

Included is the Audio-Technica AT-VM95C, a cartridge with a conical stylus. This delivers clear and detailed sound reproduction that will appeal to both beginners and experienced vinyl lovers. The integrated phono preamplifier, which is specifically tuned for the system, further enhances its musicality.

Stable turntable with precise torque control

A central element of the SL-40CBT is the 1.26-kilogram die-cast aluminum turntable. Reinforcing ribs increase stability, while the directly mounted motor magnet ensures constant rotation and precise torque control. This ensures exceptionally smooth record playback.

Improved vibration damping

To minimize interference from external influences, the turntable features newly tuned damping feet. These increase vibration resistance and reduce acoustic feedback. The optimized rubber hardness shifts potential resonances outside the audible range, maintaining clear, interference-free sound.

Digital motor control for maximum precision

The motor's digital control ensures maximum rotational accuracy. Three key technologies are used: precise speed detection, calibration of each individual unit during production, and digitally optimized control signals for the motor. The result is a consistent and absolutely reliable speed.

Optimized circuit design

To avoid sonic distortion, Technics uses a separate circuit design for the SL-40CBT. The circuit boards for the power supply, motor control, and phono EQ are physically separated from the tonearm and connected via crossover cables. This design minimizes interference and contributes to a clear, detailed sound.

Precise phono circuit

The integrated MM phono equalizer is precisely tuned to the included cartridge. High-quality components and careful tuning ensure particularly low-noise signal processing. This preserves the musical detail and enhances the natural character of the vinyl sound.

Sustainable packaging solution

In addition to sound quality and design, Technics also pays attention to environmental aspects. The SL-40CBT comes in environmentally friendly packaging that replaces Styrofoam with cardboard, thus reducing the use of plastic and contributing to reducing marine pollution.
