New TRON, new music: Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor have already provided music for many films. In 2016, Ross joined Reznor's long-running solo project, Nine Inch Nails. At the same time, the two worked on the band and film music for major studios. Perhaps it's due to the TRON franchise that they're suddenly operating under the name NIN, but never mind: The soundtrack to TRON: ARES is typical Nine Inch Nails. It plays with the original Tron theme, but the two electronic artists also provide plenty of new input to stimulate the imagination. So, you don't have to have seen the film—but it can't hurt either.
