On A FOOT IN THE DOOR, the band members of the cult band have put together their personal favorites. The Best Of contains a nice cross-section of songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. "See Emily Play", written by founding member and former band leader Syd Barrett, who had to leave the band in 1968 for health reasons, is included, as is the song dedicated to him, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." A FOOT IN THE DOOR is an excellent cross-section for anyone who wants to get a rough idea of the gigantic Pink Floyd universe. The 16 songs were remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman.
