Devialet Expert 220 Pro Streaming Amplifier

When Devialet entered the hi-fi world with the D premiere over 10 years ago, the innovative technology and fascinating design of the French amplifier represented a real revolution. And this still applies to the successor models of the Devialet EXPERT series PRO - thanks to constant further development, Devialet has always managed to be (at least) one step ahead of the competition.

The Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO is the larger of the two stereo amplifiers in the Devialet EXPERT series and, compared to the Devialet EXPERT 130 PRO, offers a peak power of 220 watts. Of course, the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO also relies on the hybrid amplifier technology ADH® in the latest version V2. ADHV2® and thus ingeniously combines the sonic advantages of analog amplification with the precision and performance of modern class D amplifiers.

With the active loudspeaker management SAM®, the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO is perfectly adapted to every loudspeaker. For this purpose, Devialet EXPERTS from Devialet regularly examine and measure loudspeakers from different manufacturers and thus create a constantly growing database of loudspeaker properties. The SAM® profiles and all other settings can be conveniently set up in an online configurator and are transferred to the device on an SD card.

With the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO, Devialet also uses its own converter technology called DAC Magic Wire®. This is integrated into the infrastructure of the device in such a way that the distance between the D / A converter and the loudspeaker connections is a mere record-breaking 5 cm. This means that there is no chance of damaging influences on the sensitive analog signal.

In terms of connectivity, the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO leaves nothing to be desired, it has connections for numerous digital and analog sources and has an integrated phono preamp for connecting a turntable. Compared to the Devialet EXPERT 130 PRO, this allows an even more precise adjustment to the pickup used and has an even better A / D conversion. The Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO receives music data via LAN cable or wirelessly via WLAN, and Devialet has its own app to control streaming. Everyday operation is via what is currently perhaps the most beautiful remote control in the industry. In addition, the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO can be connected to up to 8 other Devialet devices via the network.

Like all devices in the Devialet EXPERT series, the Devialet EXPERT 220 PRO is based on the Evo® platform from Devialet and can thus be adapted to future technical developments, new standards or formats via software updates.
