The Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 is a highly advanced digital stereo integrated amplifier. It employs a completely digital signal path – without any analog conversion – and utilizes RoomPerfect™ room correction technology to analyze and optimize the acoustic properties of the room. This approach enables highly precise, noise-free playback with high dynamics and neutrality.
Technology & Functionality
The amplifier uses true digital amplification: The input signal is not converted to analog, but processed digitally all the way to the speaker output. This significantly reduces noise and distortion and delivers very clean signal transmission.
With RoomPerfect™, the TDAI-2170 uses a calibration microphone to measure the room's acoustic parameters and adjusts the playback to compensate for unwanted reflections or bass issues. This effectively balances the room's acoustic influences, even when speakers are placed close to walls.
The amplifier also offers a digital crossover and Inter-Sample Clipping Correction (ICC), which further increases control over the audio signal.
Sound & Practical Experience
Thanks to digital amplification, the TDAI-2170 delivers exceptionally clear and dynamic sound reproduction across the entire volume spectrum. RoomPerfect enhances bass response, delivering focused and controlled bass, while midrange and treble are reproduced with remarkable precision. The digital crossover also allows for active and targeted sound control and adjustment – for example, in a bi-amping setup with an additional power amplifier.
The option to feed analog sources into the digital interior via the ADC ensures maximum flexibility without having to forgo the advantages of digital amplification.
