The FR-2 from Lyngdorf Audio is a high-end floor-standing loudspeaker that is characterized by its innovative construction and specialized tuning for placement close to the wall. This design allows seamless integration into modern living spaces, both acoustically and visually. The extremely flat design and the selection of housing colors and interchangeable fabric covers offer versatile customization options.
Technical highlights for optimal sound performance
The FR-2 is designed to actively use the room acoustics instead of working against them. Its special tuning for wall placement brings the powerful woofers particularly close to the wall, which leads to an excellent impulse response in the low frequency range. The result is a tight and powerful bass that surpasses many free-standing floor-standing speakers. The bass reflex port is located on the underside of the cabinet and ensures consistent sound quality due to the constant distance to the floor and wall.
Powerful components for precise sound
Inside, the FR-2 works with two powerful 6.5-inch woofers/midrange speakers that are embedded in torsion-resistant die-cast aluminum baskets and equipped with large magnets and lightweight aluminum membranes. This design minimizes distortion and enables high volumes with excellent efficiency. This is complemented by a 28 mm fabric tweeter with a strong magnet that ensures clear and precise reproduction. With its linear impedance of 4 ohms, the FR-2 can get the best out of any connected amplifier.
Design and Integration for Modern Living Spaces
With its modern, flat design and rounded edges, the FR-2 blends harmoniously into any interior design. It is available in three elegant color variants, combined with two different, interchangeable fabric covers by Danish designer Gabriel. In addition, the speaker can either stand on the floor or be mounted to save space using an optional wall bracket. The housing is produced and painted in Denmark in Lyngdorf Audio's own production facility, which guarantees the highest quality and durability.
The FR-2 sets new standards in sound quality and design for close-to-wall speakers and reflects Lyngdorf Audio's expertise in speaker development.
