S/510 – Extreme performance in a compact format
In the S/510, all components from the previous generation have been carefully analyzed and optimized to achieve even higher performance. The adjustments extend to the amplifier power, the driver technology and specially developed filters that further exploit the potential of the subwoofer. This is complemented by a revised cabinet structure that ensures that all technical upgrades work under optimal conditions. The result is a state-of-the-art subwoofer design that meets even the highest expectations.
Improved bass reproduction and dynamics
The requirements for the S/510 included significantly increased bass performance in the frequency range between 20 and 35 Hz, optimized dynamics for home theater applications, and even more spatial and open sound reproduction for music and film enjoyment. To achieve these goals, the powerful NextGen3 amplifier was integrated, which operates at 500 watts (RMS) and has considerable power reserves. To support this increased performance, the driver was provided with an ultra-light carbon fiber coating on the back. In addition, two new, specially developed filters were implemented to ensure maximum precision and spatiality. Just like the reference models, the S/510 can be stacked in line arrays of four or six units to achieve even more impressive playback quality.
Innovative bass technology with carbon fiber reinforcement
To meet the increased performance requirements, the ContinuousCast™ aluminum cone of the S/510 has been equipped with a pure carbon fiber reinforcement. This strategically placed reinforcement on the back of the cone not only increases the stability and strength of the driver, but also prevents unwanted back vibrations. The result is a clearer and louder bass reproduction, free from annoying cabinet resonances.
SuperProgressive™ Passive Radiators – Maximum Efficiency
The S/510's specially developed passive radiator uses an innovative suspension with an additional 8 mm linear stroke. This technology enables an exceptionally high output power that significantly exceeds conventional subwoofers. The new SuperProgressive™ cooler allows extreme diaphragm movement without losing control of the suspension. This means the system combines the advantages of a compact, closed 12-inch housing with the performance of a 14-inch system under high load.
Powerful NextGen3 amplifier – 500 watts RMS
With an increased output of 500 watts, the NextGen3 amplifier is based on the technology of an earlier flagship model. The increase in power of over 20% compared to the previous model (400 watts) ensures that both the high output levels required for home cinema applications and the deepest bass can be achieved in a high-quality 2-channel music system. The crucial component of this performance optimization is the newly developed PerfectFilter™ technology, which specifically compensates for both frequency extremes.
PerfectFilter™ fulfils two essential tasks: Firstly, it ensures a smooth and extended reproduction of the lowest bass frequencies, while at the same time enabling an airier and more refined sound representation in the mid and high frequency ranges. In addition, specially developed PureTheatre™ filters have been integrated, which ensure that the S/510 effortlessly meets the most demanding cinema effects.
S-Series Line Array – Three-dimensional sound reproduction
In real-world listening situations, bass extends not only in width and depth, but also in height. By stacking up to three units per side - whether in a stereo setup or as part of a home theater speaker system - an exceptionally realistic sound perspective is created. This results in a significant improvement in spatial perception and offers impressive immersive audio reproduction.
