In recent years the way in which digital media, including photos, movies and of course music, is stored and distributed and how it is accessed (in real time) has revolutionized. Regardless of physical media, our media are often data that is transported by various devices to various locations. For audio applications and protocols, Audio over Ethernet offers the advantages of high speed, low time delay (latency), significant distance bridging (300 meters without active booster or repeater) and extremely low-jitter, bit-perfect communication. Who shouldn't want that?

MASSIVE 0.5% SILVER LADDER

Solid conductors eliminate distortion caused by the interaction of the strands and reduce jitter. Solid, silver-plated conductors are ideal for high-frequency applications such as Ethernet audio. During transmission, these high-frequency signals remain almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since this is made of high-purity silver, the reproduction comes very close to that of a solid silver cable, while the price is closer to that of a copper cable. This is a surprisingly inexpensive way to make very high quality Ethernet cables.

MASSIVE, HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE INSULATION

Any massive material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Wire insulation and circuit board material absorb energy (losses). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. The massive, high-density polyethylene insulation ensures the critical geometry of the signal pairs and minimizes the phase distortions otherwise caused by the insulation.

HIGH SPEED DATA CAPACITIES

The Cat 7 cable standard was created to enable 10 Gigabit Ethernet with copper cables up to 100 meters long.

DIRECTIONALITY: All audio cables are directional. Each batch of metal conductors for each AudioQuest audio cable is sampled to determine the correct direction of travel. The plugs are clearly and unambiguously marked with corresponding arrows to ensure the outstanding sound quality. For best results, use the cables with the arrows pointing in the direction the music is flowing. For example from the NAS to the router, from the router to the network player.
