Through the use of many key JL-Audio technologies, the E-Class subwoofers offer exceptional sound quality, plenty of power and excellent value for money for a wide range of demanding applications.

The drivers of the e-subwoofers use exclusive DMA technology, which optimizes the drive and ensures linear behavior even over very high deflections. In contrast to conventional calibration systems, DMA takes into account the dynamic shifts caused by current flow and reverse current under realistic performance conditions with real music.

The extreme installation depth of the e-Sub driver was deliberately chosen. It allows large distances between the suspension elements (rubber surround and double spider) and gives the driver exceptional mechanical stability over the entire deflection range. This improves linearity, reduces distortion and increases long-term reliability. The e-Sub's front mounting flange is steel and forms the entire front baffle of the subwoofer, while the driver's rear panel is threaded and bolted to the rear panel of the subwoofer enclosure for increased rigidity.

In order to adequately fuel these innovative drivers, JL Audio has developed a completely new switching amplifier with a regulated switching power supply, which allows the housing to be made more compact, lighter and more efficient. At the same time, the integrated amp delivers more than enough clean power to fully utilize the driver's potential.

The amp is conveniently controlled from the top panel of the E-Sub enclosure - after all, no one likes to be crawling on the floor behind a subwoofer. An attractive cover conceals and protects the controls during normal use.

A sub for all cases

The JL Audio e110 has been designed to enable use in a wide range of applications - from home theater systems to two-channel music systems to desktop audio workstations. Analog inputs are for unbalanced small signal sources or speaker signals. Dedicated outputs allow bi-amping configuration without additional hardware.

The active crossover of the E-Sub is designed as a true fourth-order two-way crossover according to Linkwitz-Riley with a low-pass filter. A high-pass filtered signal can be tapped at the line outputs. When the e110's built-in crossover is overridden - as is common in many home theater installations - the outputs return the original input signal, allowing multiple e-Subs to be easily connected together in a 'daisy chain' arrangement. The switchable polarity and a fully variable phase control complete the signal processing. All signal processing takes place in the analog domain, which ensures very low latencies in critical applications.

All e-Subs are individually performance tested and tested to ensure years of listening pleasure in stereo systems and home theaters.
