Aurender's audio servers support all common digital audio formats – from high-resolution PCM to DSD. Thanks to generously sized internal memory, many models can operate completely offline. This minimizes potential network interference and enables exceptionally clean audio playback.
Music data is stored locally and played back in a controlled manner, which significantly improves signal quality and reduces dependence on external network components.
What is an audiophile server?
The term "streaming" is often presented as automatically offering superior sound quality compared to CD playback. In practice, however, the quality depends heavily on the technical implementation.
Many streamers rely on external NAS systems, which can introduce potential sources of interference into the hi-fi chain:
