The Emit 20 is a high-performance compact speaker that is in the tradition of our successful Evoke, Contour i and Confidence series in terms of sound and technology. It offers an outstanding combination of detail and performance that makes it ideal for small to medium-sized rooms.

We don't use a term like "unadulterated audio fidelity" lightly. But when you buy the Emit 20, that's exactly what you get: a first-class, audiophile speaker with absolutely amazing performance for the price. Although this is basically an entry-level model, the Emit 20 is still packed with technology that you will also find in our high-priced product families - right through to the flagship Confidence and our professional Core reference monitors. And one thing is for sure: you can look forward to playback quality that nobody would normally expect in this price segment.

Powerful mids and basses, highest precision

The Emit 20 is equipped with an 18 cm diameter MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) woofer. It is based on the woofer of the Evoke product family. We developed the MSP material ourselves and have been using it in our best-known loudspeakers for many years. The diaphragm is made in one piece - the dust cap is an integral part of the playback surface. This creates a firm connection to the voice coil. This stable connection ensures the best possible controllability and corresponding wealth of detail in the low and middle frequency range.

The voice coil, in turn, is made of aluminum. It is wound on a glass fiber bobbin. We've used aluminum wire in our voice coils for a long time - and with good reason. This material is known to be very light and can therefore be set in motion even for the finest signals. In addition, we can realize more windings on the carrier with a given length of wire. That means more BL - ie, magnetic power. And of course more power also means more powerful playback. To get closer to the desired ideal, we coat the aluminum wire with copper.

The stacked ferrite magnet system and the new surround create the right framework for the Emit 20's long-throw woofer/midrange driver. It also impresses at high levels with full bass performance - without loss of control in the mids (where the vocals and instruments such as guitar and violins are at home).

A high-performance tweeter

The Emit 20 uses the Cerotar tweeter, which we took directly from the Evoke. This is a 28mm soft dome tweeter that includes our well-known Hexis internal dome. The coated fabric dome ensures silky, present highs. Here you can discover all the sonic details that the artists put so much effort into in the recording studio. The Hexis, on the other hand, smoothes the frequency response and ensures that no unwanted resonances “contaminate” the sound.

The heart of the Cerotar is a powerful Ferrite+ strontium carbonate ceramic magnet system. It provides the tweeter with the power it needs to do its job without slumping, even at high levels - with all the nuances your ears should enjoy. And at a volume that should even move your neighbors.

In any case, you can be pleased that the entire technical ensemble of these loudspeakers was created on the same basis as our high-end studio monitors from the Core product family. Because in the recording studio, musicians, producers and sound engineers have to be able to listen to music attentively for many hours without their ears getting tired.

The crossover from the inside

A specially developed crossover takes over the crossover between the woofer/midrange driver and the tweeter. It comes from the same development team that worked on the Heritage Special and our Core studio monitors. Our engineers used a hybrid first- and second-order topology for the tweeter and woofer, which allows for particularly precise control of the two drivers. As a result, this means: You hear exactly what an artist wanted to convey with his production; without sonic compromises.

An impressive appearance

The Emit 20 is available in three finishes: Black, White and Walnut. Each is a perfect match for the clean Scandinavian cabinet design – which, like the inner workings of our loudspeakers, was developed at our company's headquarters in Denmark. The scope of delivery includes black speaker covers that are attached to the housing with magnets.

We even looked at the covers over the mounting screws. They are made in one piece in the same color as the housing, so they do not need to be painted and will not discolour over time.

If you want to upgrade a stereo system in a medium-sized room with audiophile compact loudspeakers or if you are looking for particularly high-quality surround channels for your home cinema, the Emit 20 is the right choice.

The Emit range of speakers suit modern lifestyles and interiors. Whether it's a classic stereo system or a large surround system: clear lines, simple surfaces and the typically minimalistic Scandinavian design also create aesthetically clear relationships.

The Cerotar tweeter

The Emit uses the profiled Cerotar tweeter from our Evoke series. This is a particularly high quality tweeter inspired by our high-end Confidence and Heritage Special ranges. Among other things, it owes its exceptional performance to the innovative, resonance-reducing Hexis inner dome.

Developed and engineered in Denmark

The entire Emit product family was put through its paces in our high-end Jupiter measuring system in the Dynaudio Labs. The Emit loudspeakers have to meet the same strict criteria as all other loudspeakers in our range. Every detail is measured; everything is put to the test.
