Unique transducer technology for natural sound

At the heart of the N31 is an innovative 4-way D/A converter that combines the advantages of 1-bit and multi-bit technologies. Instead of abruptly switching between the two modes, switching occurs smoothly across four signal paths at different levels. This 'smooth transition technology' ensures natural and faithful reproduction across the entire dynamic range.

Additionally, True Peak technology protects against intersample clipping by creating sufficient headroom to cleanly process digital peaks. The result is a distortion-free and dynamic sound that effortlessly handles even the most demanding musical passages.

Flexibility through selectable digital filters

The N31 offers three switchable digital filters that allow you to adapt the sound to your personal preferences and the respective musical style:

Minimum Phase : Ideal for acoustic recordings with natural instruments, as this filter minimizes phase shifts and enables spatially precise reproduction.

Slow Roll-Off : Provides a balance between detail and warmth, suitable for a variety of music genres.

Fast Roll-Off : Emphasizes transients and is particularly suitable for electronically produced music with fast impulses.

These filters can be easily selected via the menu or the remote control, so you can always choose the optimal sound characteristics for your music.

High-quality workmanship and well-thought-out features

The N31's housing impresses with its elegant design and the use of high-quality materials. A 5-inch TFT color display not only shows track information and album art, but also enables intuitive operation. The galvanically isolated digital inputs and outputs minimize interference and ensure clean signal transmission.

For iPhone and iPad users, the N31 offers the ability to process digital audio data directly and with bit-accurate accuracy via the USB input. Combined with the optional Roon module, the N31 also becomes a fully-fledged streaming endpoint that can be seamlessly integrated into modern music networks.
