Grado GS-1000X Statement Series Headphones
At first glance, the Grado GS1000x Statement might look like another traditional over-ear headphone from Grado. But in reality, there is much more to it. Grado's commitment to continuous improvement is evident in every detail. The GS1000x combines Grado's prized mahogany with the durable tropical wood Ipê, which significantly increases the acoustic stability and durability of the driver housing.
Inside the GS1000x are the latest dynamic 'X' drivers, which make the most of the warmth of the mahogany wood. These 50mm drivers feature a more powerful magnetic circuit, a lighter voice coil and a redesigned diaphragm, increasing efficiency and reducing distortion. Improvements also extend to the headband and cables, using a 12-conductor super-annealed copper cable and a minimally padded leather-covered headband with elegant white stitching.
The GS1000x impresses with a lively, detailed sound and a gripping, thrilling performance. Grado's emphasis on thoughtful design rather than eye-catching looks is clearly visible in the GS1000x. Although the materials are of the highest quality, the focus is on the optimal positioning of the drivers over the ears. With a weight of less than 400 g, they offer high comfort even during longer listening sessions. As open-back headphones, they develop their full potential in quiet environments, where they produce a sound image that resonates for a long time.
