A dedicated center channel for multi-channel applications

It is said that sound in (home) cinema accounts for up to 80% of the film experience. And the center speaker plays a... well, pivotal role here. Introducing the Emit 25C.

There's a good case for considering the center channel the most important element of a surround sound system. This is where the lion's share of a film's dialogue is rendered, and where the music is often centered in a complex multi-channel mix. In short: this speaker bears a lot of responsibility.

And the Emit 25C lives up to that responsibility.

Ultimately, this is a "cross-laid" Emit 30 with the woofer/midrange drivers on either side of the tweeter. The chassis assembly is the same; the crossover is the same, but the case and port matching is different. But that's not a bad compromise - quite the opposite. In fact, the result of this adjustment is that the center speaker and the two flanking speakers (regardless of whether they are the Emit models 10, 20, 30 or even 50) deliver a perfectly coherent sound image. The same applies, of course, to the side and/or rear speakers.

High-quality woofers/midrange drivers

The Emit 25C uses the same 14 cm MSP woofers as the Emit 10 and Emit 30 models. MSP stands for "Magnesium Silicate Polymer". This is a material that we developed decades ago. Since then we've refined it further for our legendary loudspeakers (including the Confidence, Contour, Heritage Special series). MSP features the right combination of lightness, stiffness, and damping that lets you hear the details of a recording exactly as the artists in the recording studio intended. Each MSP cone is one piece - even the dust cap is fully integrated and not glued on. The "balance ribs" in the middle are connected directly to the voice coil, so that the entire system moves as such. The result is excellent controllability and a correspondingly detailed sound image.

The coil former is made of fiberglass in two layers. The voice coils themselves are made from lightweight aluminum wire encased in a thin layer of copper. The main material aluminum is used because its low mass does not restrict the movement of the chassis. By means of the copper coating, the magnetic energy from the "Dual Stacked" ferrite magnet system can be better used. This creates an optimal flow of energy – without compromising on dynamics. The membranes move lightly and faithfully to the signal.

Highest playback quality

Like all other models in the Emit product family, the Emit 25C is equipped with the high-end Cerotar tweeter, which is also used in our award-winning Evoke series. It is based on the Esotar Forty tweeter, which is installed in our anniversary loudspeaker Special Forty. Innovative technologies in this module reduce unwanted resonances and optimize airflow in the chassis. The loudspeaker housing conceals a special innovation that we have also installed in the Evoke, the Confidence and the Contour: the Hexis. This is a small, knobbed inner dome that significantly reduces reflections on the back of the display surface. This becomes audible through an incredible resolution and attention to detail: sweet, silky highs that don't tire your ears - not even after hours.

Case in classic Danish design

The Emit 25C is available with three custom finishes: Black, White and Walnut. They can be combined well with each other and will fit seamlessly into your living room. This aspect is particularly important for the center channel. Because you'll probably (as much as we hate to admit it) want to be more concerned with the movie your TV is showing than with the design of the speaker placed underneath.

The Cerotar tweeter

The Emit uses the profiled Cerotar tweeter from our Evoke series. This is a particularly high quality tweeter inspired by our high-end Confidence and Heritage Special ranges. Among other things, it owes its exceptional performance to the innovative, resonance-reducing Hexis inner dome.

Developed and engineered in Denmark

The entire Emit product family was put through its paces in our high-end Jupiter measuring system in the Dynaudio Labs. The Emit loudspeakers have to meet the same strict criteria as all other loudspeakers in our range. Every detail is measured; everything is put to the test.
