It is easy to use and fits easily into any hi-fi system. Its compact dimensions allow easy installation. The - io - features that you are used to from devices in a higher price range, for example a top-class MM phono input. The equipment also includes two high-level inputs and a newly designed system remote control. The particularly high-quality headphone output was designed to deliver optimal quality without impairing other functions. The Rega - io - offers a powerful yet balanced musical performance at an unbelievable price.
It is particularly noteworthy that the Rega -io- has the same power amplifier and the same phono section as the multi-award-winning bigger brother Brio. The aim was to realize its exceptional sound quality in a compact and inexpensive form, without sacrificing high-quality components that you would not expect at this price. The Class A/B output stage has the same genes as all other Rega amplifiers. As usual, Rega paid particular attention to the choice of materials. This includes the discrete design with Sanken output transistors, Alps potentiometer and a powerful power supply that allows a stable amplifier output of 30 watts per channel at 8 ohms. There is also a connection for headphones, which is operated by the power amplifier without affecting the rest of the signal path.
