Marantz Musical Mastering Technology defines new standards in digital and analogue audio processing. The transport mechanism called "SACDM-3" was specially developed for playing SACDs, CDs and audio data from CD-ROM and DVD-ROM. The asynchronous USB input supports formats up to PCM/DXD 384 KHz/32 bit and DSD 11.2 MHz.

Using advanced filtering and processing, the SA-12SE converts all file formats to DSD and then to analog signals via direct 1-bit conversion without using a conventional DAC. Marantz engineers have developed this CD player so that you can experience your favorite music up close.
