MP 200
Multi-Source Player
The MP 200 was developed with the aim of combining a compact design with a wide variety of sources. From Bluetooth and CD to state-of-the-art streaming and radio playback, it utilizes all sources to their full potential. Thus, the MP 200 not only supports FM, FM-HD, and DAB+ playback, but also offers convenient streaming from mobile devices and local network storage. External digital sources also benefit from its excellent signal processing.
Although the MP 200 harmonizes with any D/A converter, its concept was developed for special synergies with the DAC 200 and HA 200 series converters: The T+A SYS Link exchanges control data, optimally routes audio signals and, when used with the T+A MusicNavigator app, turns the MP 200 into the command center of the entire system.
Radio & CD
In addition to the internet radio access built into the streaming client, the MP 200 offers three additional radio access options: FM, FM-HD, and DAB+. Its outstanding sound quality is due not only to its high sensitivity to incoming signals, but above all to the digital intermediate frequency, demodulation, and stereo decoder output stages used. Only through the intelligent combination of all these features does this most classic of all signal sources sound excellent, both via cable and via antenna.
Although digital streaming content has achieved a dominant position, T+A is constantly refining its CD drives: This is the only way to give customers the freedom to choose their preferred sources without restrictions. The slot drive built into the MP 200 was specifically designed to fit the dimensions of the MP 200 and fits seamlessly into the cabinet. With its fast access times and advanced error correction, it plays content almost immediately after inserting the CD, completely without playback errors.
Digital inputs
The MP 200's Digital Connecting Board features two digital S/PDIF inputs and one optical input, allowing the connection of any external source—such as set-top boxes, drives, and players. An additional S/PDIF output is available. Transmission and processing are in HD quality.
steering
The MP 200 channels complete app control. From accessing streaming services and radio stations to adjusting the smallest details of every connected device: the MP 200 and the T+A MusicNavigator app, developed in Herford, allow complete control, conveniently via iOS or Android devices.
The front of the device was designed with ergonomic considerations in mind, using an intelligent combination of direct access buttons and a rotary/push button.
Streaming Client & Bluetooth
T+A's proprietary streaming client forms one of the MP 200's bridges to the outside world. This network board, designed with audiophile standards in mind, processes incoming Wi-Fi, LAN, and USB master mode signals, allowing access to high-quality streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, and Deezer. For local applications, the streaming client is capable of streaming audio data up to 192/24 (HD) quality.
In contrast to industry-standard and computer-based standard solutions, the Streaming Client is a completely in-house T+A development and is therefore completely free from quality losses that often occur due to high-frequency interference signals.
In addition to exceptionally high playback quality, it is characterized by its ease of use: All streaming services and Internet radio stations are managed by the free airable service, which performs the administration in the background.
Thanks to the aptX HD™ technology used, the transmission of mobile data no longer represents a contradiction to high sound quality: Even uncompressed FLAC files can be transmitted despite the limited bandwidth of the Bluetooth radio.
