The Dali RUBICON 2 is the smallest model in the RUBICON series. The compact Rubicon 2 shelf speaker with its front panel that is only about the size of DIN A4 sounds best when placed on a stand or on a shelf. The 165 mm bass-midrange driver and the ultra-light 29 mm fabric dome of the Dali RUBICON 2 then provide an impressive sound with a surprisingly powerful and precise bass.
As with the EPICON 2, the Dali RUBICON 2 deliberately does not include the DALI tweeter module in order to make the speaker as compact as possible. The extremely lightweight membrane has a significantly higher cut-off frequency than the domes of the DALI hybrid tweeter module previously had. This design was necessary so that the dome in the Dali RUBICON 2 can reproduce all high-frequency frequencies. In order to achieve this larger bandwidth, DALI developed a new, particularly light and agile voice coil. For this purpose, the copper wire traditionally used in voice coils was replaced with copper-coated aluminum. A powerful ferrite magnet provides the drive.
The Dali RUBICON 2 is ideal for stereo or multi-channel playback in small rooms as well as surround speakers in larger home theaters.
The front covering of the Rubicon series is black in all color versions. Other colors are available as accessories.
