Description Stax Omega SR-007 Reference MKII

The STAX SR-007 Mk.2 represents the last stage of evolution of the famous Omega listener. The fundamental difference between the SR-007 and the Lambda series is the completely different musical presentation. The stage is noticeably further away than with the lambdas. Where the Lambda stands for 'jazz club front row', the SR-007 feels more like sitting in the middle rows of a superb concert hall. The spatial representation is more opulent, the overall sound is warmer and rounder, revealing all the details in the highs, but not focusing on them. From a technical point of view, this different type of reproduction is achieved by a particularly large membrane that acts on a specially developed electrode grid. This combines bass capability and airy, self-evident transparency into a whole that was previously unthinkable. A sound converter for life.

Description Stax SRM-727t II (front black or silver)

The Stax SRM-727II has also been redesigned and replaces the previous high-performance all-transistor amplifier SRM-717. Its circuitry has also been further developed: the frequency response has been extended from 0 - 100 kHz to 0 - 115 kHz. The output stage has an even lower internal resistance than before and now works without negative feedback. The pin assignment of the XLR input sockets is now the same as for European devices (pin 2: -, pin 3: +). The previously known SRS-3030 and SRS-717 sets will be replaced by the newly available SRS-3050II and SRS-727II, which already contain the new amplifiers. With the SRS-3050II, the SRS-323II powers the SR-303 transistor headphones, while the SRM-727II plays big in combination with the SR-007 headphones.
