KEF has equipped the latest generation of its R-Series hi-fi speakers with groundbreaking metamaterial absorption technology.

The R-Series is an exceptional line of seven loudspeakers designed for superior performance with more detail, deeper insight and greater excitement.

Bringing brilliant sound to shows, games and artists like never before, the new R-Series includes a selection of the latest technologies developed for KEF's flagship range, 'The Reference', which sets the standard in its category. The R Series promises exceptional, authentic sound experiences and can be enjoyed in stereo for music or in a home theater setup. Dressed in a timeless, elegant design inspired by acoustics, the R-Meta Series HiFi speaker collection gives you even more variety to connect more deeply with the content you love.

In addition to the groundbreaking metamaterial absorption technology, a refined tweeter gap damping, flexible decoupling chassis, the different colored designs of the new R-Meta series also catch the eye. The new KEF collection, consisting of three floor-standing loudspeakers (R11 Meta, R7 Meta and R5 Meta), a bookshelf speaker (R3 Meta), two center speakers (R6 Meta and R2 Meta) and a Dolby Atmos speaker (R8 Meta Surround speaker), all are available in three finishes, ranging in both traditional and also fit into modern interiors: glossy black, glossy white and walnut veneer.

Revolutionary Sound Absorption with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT)

At the heart of the latest R Series is the , a highly complex, maze-like structure in which each of the intricate channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. Combined, the channels act like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and providing a cleaner, more natural acoustic performance.

A bespoke 12th Gen Uni-Q driver system with MAT is found in all seven R Series models, delivering incredibly detailed reproduction.

It is the result of decades of internal experience and the use of the latest simulation and analysis tools. There are many developments, all contributing to the exceptional performance of the R-Series. The R Series' exquisite detail and transparency is the result of a series of tweaks and modifications designed specifically for this collection. From the refined tweeter gap damping that tames resonances for improved detail, to the flexible decoupling chassis that eliminates unwanted vibration for greater clarity. The hybrid aluminum woofers provide tight, deep and controlled bass, and the enhanced crossover and finely tuned signal path ensure pristine, clean sound.

These innovations ensure that the R-Series sounds even more transparent and lifelike than one is used to from this already exceptional series.

A versatile collection

The R series includes seven models that offer the user a wide range of options for putting together their ideal hi-fi system. Whether it's a stereo or home theater setup, you can rest assured that you'll enjoy a rich, realistic sound experience.

The three floorstanding speakers R11 Meta, R7 Meta and R5 Meta as well as the bookshelf speaker R3 Meta deliver faithful stereo sound for your favorite music, regardless of the size of your listening room. Each allows you to discover depth and detail you never knew existed - from a scrap of pick on a guitar string to the emotion and atmosphere of a live performance.

The two center loudspeakers R6 Meta and R2 Meta, which can also be used in LCR configurations (Left-Centre-Right), ensure brilliant dialog clarity in home cinemas of different room sizes. The center speaker and all other models in the series use identically sized Uni-Q drivers. This creates a unified sound character that ensures that the focus is entirely on the film and not on the devices in the room.

If you want to experience Dolby Atmos sound, the R8 Meta Surround speaker is an ideal addition to the system. It can either be wall mounted or placed on top of another R Series speaker for unparalleled 3D sound.

Paired with a KEF KF92 or KC62 subwoofer, you can experience the full cinematic experience, from the deepest thump to the quietest whisper.

Stunningly elegant loudspeakers

The R-Series' understated design aesthetic is complemented by carefully selected color options. Almost every R-Series model is available in three finishes that blend into both traditional and contemporary interiors: gloss black, gloss white and walnut.

There are also special color finishes for two models: the Titanium Gloss Special Edition for the R7 Meta* and the Indigo Gloss Special Edition for the R3 Meta*. The R3 Meta also features threaded inserts to securely attach the speaker to the top of the KEF S3 stands, which also feature integrated cable management and a fillable column.
