HEIMDALL 2 HEADPHONE CABLE
The Heimdall 2 headphone cable is constructed of 32 AWG 7/40 conductors that are individually insulated and twisted with a stranded construction. The stranded construction increases flexibility, eliminates triboelectric noise in the cable, and improves mechanical damping. To meet the additional durability requirements of headphone cables, Nordost has incorporated aramid fiber into the construction of this cable as a reinforcing element. By incorporating aramid fiber into the cable construction, not only is the mechanical integrity of the cable ensured by transferring stress from the cable's conductors to the fibers themselves, but the resonant properties of the aramid fibers also improve sound quality.
The Heimdall 2 headphone cable uses Nordost's proprietary Micro Mono-Filament technology with extruded FEP insulation around the conductors and mechanically tuned lengths that reduce internal microphonics and high-frequency impedance resonances. This makes the Heimdall 2 headphone cable the ideal cable for transferring amazingly realistic sound reproduction from your system to your hi-fi headphones.
The Heimdall 2 headphone cable is available with a variety of connection options compatible with all major players in the headphone market. Each cable is 2m long and is fitted with a 4-pin balanced XLR connector on the source side. Also included are two adapters, made from the same construction and technology as the headphone cable itself and also cut to specific, mechanically matched lengths. Both adapters are terminated with a 4-pin balanced XLR connector on one side and either a 3.5mm stereo mini plug or a 1/4" stereo phono plug on the opposite side.
