Pick it MC1 – Entry into the world of moving-coil cartridges

The Pick it MC1 opens the door to audiophile sound quality and demonstrates why moving-coil (MC) cartridges are so highly valued by hi-fi enthusiasts. During the development of our True Balanced turntables and phono preamps, it became clear that only MC cartridges can fully exploit the potential of balanced signal paths in terms of dynamics, detail, and soundstage.

With its lightweight stylus and coil assembly, the Pick it MC1 offers an extended frequency range and improved impulse response. This ensures more precise reproduction of even the finest signals and increased detail resolution. The low source impedance makes the cartridge less susceptible to external interference, while significantly reducing the risk of hum.

The resonance-optimized ABS housing weighs only about 5 grams and, together with its medium compliance, allows for perfect compatibility with most entry-level and mid-range turntables. The spherical stylus on an aluminum cantilever ensures clean signal tracking, while easy mounting is achieved thanks to the ½-inch mount and integrated threaded holes.

The result is an affordable MC cartridge system that allows music lovers to enter the world of moving coil technology and benefit from improved clarity, transparency, and stereo imaging.
