The technology highlights of the Xtension series at an affordable price
The X8 combines the sonic advantages of subchassis and mass drive and offers an affordable entry into mass-loaded technology and the true-balanced connection variant. The platter, weighing 5.1 kg, is precision-turned from one piece of aluminum and is stabilized on the inside with a ring made of TPE*. An inverted platter bearing with ceramic running surfaces ensures absolutely precise and controlled guidance, a magnet support with neodymium magnets that repel each other relieves a large part of the platter weight. The smooth running of the bearing is thus significantly improved.
The chassis is made of solid MDF. It stands on aluminium-turned, TPE-cushioned feet with height adjustment. This enables perfect alignment on any surface and optimal decoupling from the same.
The Pro-Ject X8 is also available as a SuperPack. The SuperPack differs from the standard devices in that it has a factory-installed pickup.
The flawlessly manufactured high-gloss surface in black or white or alternatively the real wood veneer in walnut give the player a modern or classic touch.

- The tapered tonearm tube and headshell are seamlessly made of carbon fiber
- The tone arm tube can be twisted after loosening a screw. This allows horizontal (azimuth) adjustment of the pickup
- The tonearm base offers vertical scanning angle (VTA) adjustment
- Inverted tonearm bearing with ABEC 7 quality ball bearings
- A 5-pin tonearm standard socket makes it possible to connect individual phono cables
