EARTHLING isn't a hit-spiked sensational album that might later call Pearl Jam's existence into question. Eddie Vedder will not become an immortal superstar as a result.

He stays grounded and brings us positive energy because on his solo record songs named DARK sound like life blossoming. Pearl Jam isn't as colorful and you get the impression that Vedder just wanted to break free again. A small highlight for Beatles fans is MRS. MILLS - Ringo Starr plays drums and, according to a tweet by Eddie Vedder himself, has the ride cymbal that can be heard on every Beatles album.
