Product description:

Connect a wide range of audio electronics with this AudioQuest WEL Signature 2-Male RCA > 2-Male RCA analog interconnect, meticulously engineered for exceptional flexibility and versatility. Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors minimize distortion, FEP Air-Tube insulation preserves dynamic contrast, and carbon-based multi-layer noise dissipation efficiently dissipates high-frequency noise for cleaner, clearer, and more naturally beautiful music.

Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductor
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interactions between the wires. PSS solid silver minimizes distortions caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear RF noise rejection.

Carbon-based multi-layer noise reduction
Achieving 100% shielding is easy. To prevent captured radio frequency interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment's ground reference, AQ's Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) is required. Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and then dissipate noise/RF energy to the component ground, modulating and distorting the critical 'reference' ground plane, which in turn causes signal distortion. NDS's alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded plastics 'shield the shield' by absorbing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the ground-connected layer.

FEP air hose insulation
Positive conductors benefit from the near-zero contact between the metal and its FEP insulation, which is known for its superior dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. Negative conductors benefit from intentionally 'lossy insulation'—no air and no FEP help maximize the distinct function of the negative connection.

72V Dielectric Preload System (DBS)
All insulation between two or more conductors is also a dielectric, the properties of which affect signal integrity. If the dielectric is not biased, dielectric activity (absorption and nonlinear energy release) causes varying amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, posing a real problem for highly time-sensitive, multi-octave audio signals. The inclusion of an RF trap (designed for AudioQuest's Niagara series of energy products) ensures that high-frequency noise is not induced into the signal conductors by the DBS field elements. (DBS, US Patents Nos. 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1)

Cold-welded, directly silver-plated pure red copper terminations
Direct silver plating is optimized for sound without an underlying layer of distortion-causing nickel, while the highly efficient cold welding process avoids sound-degrading solder.
