The striking red case of the 10X series, which has always been a feature and has seen slight improvements in recent years, has now been in production for over forty years. It represents Dynavector's most popular model, appreciated by music lovers and audiophiles around the world.
Improvements
In addition to several exclusive Dynavector technologies, including Magnetic Flux Damping, Softened Magnetism (patent) and powerful neodymium magnets known for smooth high-frequency response, the Dynavector 10X5 MKII also features an improved needle assembly with the Nude Diamond 'Shibata III' Line contact needle and improved hardened cantilever material. These improvements ensure secure tracking capability in even the most demanding record grooves, enabling expanded high-frequency playback and increased music resolution.
The 10X5 now features a powerful neodymium magnet and a recently developed aluminum head block that provides a stable platform for the pickup motor and ensures secure attachment to the tonearm.
The magnetic flux attenuation and reduced magnetization as well as the powerful neodymium magnet give the DV 10X5 LOW a robust output of 0.5 mV.
The DV 10X5 LOW is compatible with most preamplifiers or step-up transformers, making it a top choice for a low output MC cartridge system.
