The scale of scales
Since 1973, The Reference has continuously set the standard for loudspeakers and sound reproduction. As a pioneer in the use of digital technologies to achieve the highest sonic accuracy, each pair can be adjusted to within 0.5 dB of the laboratory-tested reference standard.

Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Great Britain
Since 1961, KEF has been producing remarkable, award-winning loudspeakers at its British headquarters in Maidstone, Kent. The Reference, the flagship of its hi-fi loudspeakers, is still designed, engineered, and handcrafted in Maidstone today.
