This set combines the immersive 3D sound world of the KEF XIO soundbar with the impressive deep bass power of the Kube 12 MIE – for a home cinema experience at reference level.
The XIO soundbar, with its 5.1.2 configuration, 820 watts of power, and support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony 360 Reality Audio, delivers room-filling, three-dimensional sound. Six Uni-Q® MX drivers and four P185 woofers create a wide, detailed soundstage with crystal-clear speech intelligibility. Thanks to Intelligent Placement technology and integrated room calibration, the soundbar automatically adapts to its environment and delivers optimal performance at all times – whether placed on furniture or mounted on the wall.
The Kube 12 MIE takes the system to a new level in the low-frequency range. With its 30 cm long-throw driver, 300 watts RMS Class-D amplifier, and a frequency response down to 22 Hz, it delivers the deepest, most physically palpable bass – controlled, precise, and with minimal distortion. The integrated Music Integrity Engine® with intelligent bass extension (iBX) ensures that the subwoofer works perfectly with the XIO, making every explosion, film score, and beat sound impressive.
The interplay between the two components is meticulously designed: While the XIO creates a precise, three-dimensional soundscape with clear dialogue, the Kube 12 MIE handles the masterful reproduction of the lowest frequencies, lending the sound a physical presence. Thanks to the shared KEF DSP technology, a homogeneous, perfectly balanced overall sound is created – dynamic, powerful, and cohesive.
With the currently free KW2 RX receiver, you also benefit from a high-resolution, wireless connection (up to 24-bit/48 kHz). This allows for flexible placement of the subwoofer in the room – without visible cables, but with full sound quality and maximum design freedom.
