YAMAHA PARAMETRIC ROOM ACOUSTIC OPTIMIZER (YPAO ®)

Environmental factors play an important role in the acoustic signature of a room and any type of audio. Yamaha's proprietary YPAO™ automatic calibration, used in many home theater products for decades, has been optimized for the R-N2000A to create an ideal listening environment, just as if you were in a professional audio listening room—without the need for tedious manual adjustments.

Toroidal transformer

Normally reserved for high-end hi-fi components, the R-N2000A benefits from the technical performance and absolute musicality of a toroidal transformer. Combined with numerous high-end hi-fi features and components, the toroidal transformer ensures that the emotional range of the music is conveyed to the listener. Furthermore, a 3 mm thick brass base is located between the bottom of the transformer and the inner casing, dampening the transformer's vibrations and ensuring an overwhelmingly spacious and realistic sound.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE DAC

For clear, transparent sound reproduction and detailed musicality, Yamaha utilizes the state-of-the-art ES9026PRO digital-to-analog converter from ESS Technologies. This high-quality DAC achieves high-precision signal conversion via the balanced analog audio output and further improved current delivery for four-channel operation, effectively reproducing even the subtle acoustics of concert halls and delicate, expressive nuances in sound.

MECHANICAL CONCEPT FOR A STABLE FLOOR

Just like Yamaha's high-end hi-fi model, the R-N2000A also utilizes the mechanical design for a stable base. This design begins with the bolted feet, which are welded directly to the main body, and continues with the large heatsink, power transformer, and block capacitors, which are also bolted directly to the body.

FULLY Symmetrical Power Amplifier

Thanks to Yamaha's original amplifier technology, the power amplifier circuit, including the power supply, is completely independent of ground, and the influence of minute voltage fluctuations and external ground noise has been completely eliminated. This circuit design offers several advantages, including perfect symmetry of pull-pull operation in the output stage, the achievement of an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, and overwhelming expressiveness that perfectly showcases the sound of any musical instrument.

SYMMETRICAL CONSTRUCTION

To achieve the epitome of stereo reproduction in this component, the R-N2000A features a perfectly symmetrical, hinged design with the power supply in the center and the power amplifier blocks at either end of the main unit. This gives the unit ideal weight distribution and suppresses unwanted effects between the channels for outstanding channel separation. The result is a remarkably pure reproduction of all sound components—exactly as they are.

MUSICCAST

The R-N2000A is equipped with Yamaha's unique MusicCast network system. It's also compatible with a wide range of streaming services, including Amazon Music HD and Spotify, allowing you to fully enjoy the exceptionally high sound quality of today's high-resolution, lossless sound sources with absolute fidelity. It also supports streaming Apple Music with Airplay 2. And with the MusicCast system, you can easily listen to music anywhere in your home by linking various MusicCast devices with a single app on your smart device.

USB DAC FUNCTION

A stable transmission method using asynchronous transmission was chosen. A high-precision, dedicated quartz clock ensures improved signal accuracy. It also supports native DSD playback at 11.2 MHz and 384 kHz, allowing you to enjoy exceptionally high-quality sound that fully utilizes the advantages of high-resolution audio sources.

HDMI ARC port

Experience true hi-fi sound with your TV. The R-N2000A is compatible with HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel), meaning you can connect it to your TV with just one cable. This lets you enjoy not only audio content, but also TV audio content such as live broadcasts and music programs in excellent sound quality.

ATTRACTIVE LEVEL INDICATORS

The elegant level meters are a strong harbinger of the nostalgic era of hi-fi, while simultaneously signaling the return of pure hi-fi for today's discerning music lover. The level meters visually represent the dynamics and tempo of the music, creating a pleasant ambiance with their softly glowing LEDs. Additionally, a brilliant, high-resolution LED display on the underside of the front panel indicates the track currently playing.
