Connectivity

Play all the music in the world

The digital heart of the LSX II is the same state-of-the-art W2 Wireless platform that powers the high-performance LS50 Wireless II. This ensures that however you choose to listen to music, you can do so with minimal effort and in pristine sound quality.

With the KEF Connect app, you can stream Amazon Music, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, internet radio stations, and podcasts. Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast seamlessly stream audio from compatible devices, while Bluetooth expands the possibilities even further. You can use native apps to stream directly from Spotify Connect, Tidal, and QPlay, and the LSX II is also Roon Ready. Using AirPlay 2, Chromecast, or Roon, you can stream to multiple speakers, allowing you to play music throughout your home.

As if that weren't enough, the LSX II can also play your own private music collection from a compatible NAS drive or music server. Furthermore, audiophile music lovers will be catered to with comprehensive file format support up to 24-bit/384 kHz (PCM), DSD, and full MQA playback.

Plug & Play with TV and laptop

In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the LSX II also features a comprehensive selection of wired connections. These include HDMI-ARC for seamless control with your TV remote and a high-quality USB-C input, making the LSX II the perfect desktop system for use with your computer. There are also connections for your turntable, CD player, game console, and many other devices. And if you crave a little more depth with your movies and music, there's a dedicated output to which you can connect a KEF subwoofer for that extra bass.

High-fidelity sound

The beauty of the two-speaker concept is that it gives the music room to breathe and unfold, creating a three-dimensional soundstage. The speakers seem to disappear, allowing you to fully enjoy the immersive performance as it unfolds and draws you directly into the experience.
Each LSX II loudspeaker features KEF's 11th generation Uni-Q driver array, designed specifically for this speaker. This signature technology acts as a point source, with the tweeter positioned precisely at the acoustic center of the mid/bass driver, ensuring natural sound reproduction. This design eliminates the traditional, tiny 'sweet spot' and instead delivers precise, unadulterated sound to all listeners.

The LSX II has a combined system power of 200 watts. Both the tweeter and the woofer are each driven by their own amplifier to deliver room-filling sound from such a compact enclosure.

Performance is further enhanced compared to the award-winning original thanks to the Music Integrity Engine. This state-of-the-art collection of custom-designed digital signal processing algorithms has been updated for this purpose. Optimized for the Uni-Q driver, the Music Integrity Engine enables the LSX II to deliver perfectly timed performance, resulting in greater clarity and a tight, precise sound.

User-centric experience

The KEF Connect App guides you through the setup and control of the system and music playback, with intuitive sound settings so you can optimally adapt the LSX II to your room.

With its powerful Room-EQ DSP, the LSX II can be tailored to your room and personal preferences, without requiring any prior knowledge of room acoustics. The 'Normal' mode is designed to guide you through the process with simple questions – all you need is a tape measure. For easy pairing with a KEF subwoofer, the LSX II features Room-EQ subwoofer presets for optimal system performance.

The LSX II also has a number of other user-friendly features, such as volume settings, sensitivity adjustments, and the ability to select a source to wake the system when it is switched on.
You can connect the speakers either wirelessly with a resolution of 24 bit/48 kHz or with the included cable and a resolution of 24 bit/96 kHz.

Renowned for his refined approach to minimalism, Young's signature is a sleek, pared-down aesthetic that perfectly suits the LSX II's requirements of delivering pristine, precise sound while looking incredibly good. Every aspect of the LSX II has been meticulously considered, with a sleek rear panel and subtle design touches such as color-matched finishes on the Uni-Q driver and connectors. The LSX II also features convenient threaded inserts for secure mounting on the P1 desktop stand, the S1 floor stand, or the B1 wall bracket.

High-quality surfaces

The LSX II is available in five different finishes: The Mineral White and Lava Red models are coated with satin and gloss lacquer, respectively, while Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are covered with a specially designed fabric by the Danish textile designer Kvadrat. In the Soundwave by Terence Conran Edition, the 'Soundwave' pattern is woven into the same unique fabric to emphasize the connection between acoustics and design.
