Inspired by the majestic Mount Pumori, known as the "Daughter of Everest," this model combines impressive technical sophistication with a design that meets the highest standards in both appearance and sound. As the flagship of the 10-inch category of the JBL Summit series, the Pumori represents uncompromising sound quality, crafted for audiophiles with a keen eye for detail.
Expressive sound signature with exclusive driver technology
At the heart of the Summit Pumori is the patented JBL D2815K 1.5-inch dual-diaphragm, dual-motor compression driver. Combined with the large-format Sonoglass® HDI™ horn, this system delivers impressive high-frequency imaging—full of resolution, precision, and airiness. Sounds appear open, natural, and vibrant.
For the midrange, JBL relies on an 8-inch cast-frame driver, while the bass is driven by a powerful 10-inch cast-frame woofer. Both drivers are based on the innovative HC4 cone technology , a three-layer construction made of carbon fiber, cellulose, and a foamed inner core. This design combines strength with lightness, ensuring distortion-free sound even at high volumes.
Control and dynamics thanks to MultiCap™ crossover
Signal processing is handled by a sophisticated MultiCap™ crossover system , which uses numerous small capacitors to provide lower electrostatic resistance (ESR). The result: higher signal purity, improved dynamics, lower distortion, and an exceptionally refined, clear sound. Furthermore, the crossover allows for both single-wire and bi-wire or bi-amp connections, ensuring maximum flexibility in system integration.
Aesthetics meets function – luxurious case design
The Summit Pumori's cabinet was masterfully designed not only acoustically but also visually. The gently curved walls are multi-braced and damped internally to minimize standing waves. Two exclusive exterior finishes are available: a high-gloss black finish with platinum accents or a sophisticated high-gloss ebony veneer finish with gold details .
Stability and acoustic decoupling are ensured by the specially developed JBL | IsoAcoustics® feet . These minimize vibrations by mechanically separating the speaker from the floor—a crucial factor for clearer spatial imaging, deeper bass reproduction, and overall greater sound precision.
