Manager P2
THE NEXT STEP
Getting as close to the original as possible has always been Manger Audio's goal. In this way, Josef Manger has succeeded in creating a technological masterpiece with the Manger sound converter. The passive top-of-the-line model p2 consistently continues this maxim and comes a significant step closer to the ideal of time-coherent and true-to-the-original reproduction. The p2 open a new horizon.
Nature as a benchmark
The sudden snap of a branch, the gentle patter of a summer rain - faithfully reproducing these sounds and tones is a difficult task to master. The pressure changes in the air are too fast, too abrupt. This also applies to percussion or clapping in an auditorium. Ordinary sound transducers cannot follow the tempo and sound undifferentiated. In addition, these sound events often contain low-frequency components. They are crucial for natural reproduction, but they particularly demand the bass precision of a speaker.
Speed is the key
A prerequisite on the way to authentic reproduction is a timely and holistic reproduction. Due to the design, the impulse fidelity of the Manger sound transducer, i.e. the ability to follow short signals at lightning speed, is far superior to conventional drivers. The newly developed low-frequency system of the p2 also achieves an exceptionally high signal fidelity and complements the Manger sound converter perfectly. Both merge into a uniquely natural reproduction system.
Deeply impressive
The woofer of the p2 is groundbreaking. The chassis, which was developed and manufactured in Germany, has a modern sandwich membrane. Two layers of carbon fiber reinforced cellulose flank a layer of high-tech foam. The intelligent mix of materials combines high internal damping with low weight and extreme rigidity. Partial oscillations and a break in the radiation behavior at higher frequencies are thus effectively prevented.
The high-performance drive guarantees a linear stroke and the lowest distortion values. Together with two ingeniously tuned passive membranes, the woofer achieves inimitably precise reproduction down to the lowest register.
Solid as a rock
During operation, considerable forces act on the speaker housing. If it is stimulated to oscillate, this leads to audible sound discolorations. The case of the p2 is a paragon of solidity. Internal struts and reinforcements at defined points effectively prevent natural vibrations. The drivers reside in a 38 millimeter (!) thick front and the elegantly rounded edges optimize the radiation behavior. A solid base construction made of aluminum guarantees a rock-solid stand on any surface. The stable base construction made of aluminum, in combination with the innovative Manger cone feet cf1, guarantees a rock-solid stand on any surface.
