Dynavector 20X2 L MC Cartridge

For over 35 years, Dynavector has built an enviable reputation for producing affordable, high-quality moving coil cartridges. In particular, high-output models designed for use with MM inputs, eliminating the need for equipment changes or setup devices required for low-output cartridges. The outstanding performance of the Dynavector high-output moving coil pickups is due to the winding machine exclusively developed by Dynavector, which can use extremely fine wire and offers a high output mass ratio.

Features and improvements

The DV-20X features a solid aluminum alloy body and sturdy magnetic construction similar to the XX-2MKII. The cantilever consists of a 6 mm long, hard aluminum tube with a micro-ridge stylus. Magnetic flux attenuation and reduced magnetization, along with powerful neodymium magnets, give the 20X2H a healthy 2.8mV output - suitable for most MM inputs. The 20X2L has a 0.3mV output, ideal for most MC phono stages.

Both versions of the 20X2, both high and low output, are available to achieve the best possible result. The high output model is well suited for tube preamps or electronics that only offer MM inputs, while the low output version offers excellent performance when combined with dedicated moving coil inputs.
