In 1999, Dynavector released the revolutionary DRT Combined with Dynavector's patented 'Flux Damping' technology, this pickup system quickly became the global benchmark for music lovers and the audio press alike.
Dynavector's subsequent flagship model, the XV-ls, released in 2002, refined and improved the technology. It retained the patented Flux Damping, but incorporated the magnetically stable front yoke piece with the unique square opening and improved magnetic balancing components, all encased in an African ebony casing to provide further stability for the magnetic components.
First inspection of the new DV became.
Dynavector's patented Flux Damping technology has been retained in conjunction with groundbreaking innovations that will not only make the XV-lt Dynavector's flagship product, but also set contemporary standards in analogue music reproduction.
Technology abounds in the XV-lt, but Dynavector's 'raison d'etre' is to make the technology invisible and let the music stand out like never before.
A silky smoothness is added to the musical reality previously demonstrated by the XV pickups, and as a result, each instrument, performer or group is clearly depicted with a warm and rich presence. Dynavector believes that this emotional musical experience cannot be achieved through a digital source, and with the XV-lt they have created a 'Super Analogue World'.
Development history of the DRT XV-1
Major improvements
- The unique square anchor, made from a carefully selected material that is both corrosion resistant and impervious to age deterioration.
- 16 micron coil winding, which can only be manufactured by Dynavector, is wrapped around the square shaped armature to match the square hole in the front yoke piece.
- Alnico column magnets to stabilize the magnetic circuits and increase the linearity of the magnetic distribution in the air gap.
Other features
- Exclusive walnut case.
