Gold Note B-5.2 9 Inch Tonearm

The Gold Note B-5.2 combines precision engineering with an elegant, functional design. The gimbal-mounted 9-inch tonearm is meticulously handcrafted in Italy and designed for precise and controlled tracking. Its construction allows for versatile adaptation to different cartridges, creating optimal conditions for detailed and natural vinyl reproduction.

Precise storage for controlled scanning

For the tonearm mounting, Gold Note uses four high-precision micro ball bearings, specially manufactured by GRW in Germany to Gold Note's specifications. The bearings are individually sealed and carefully assembled to maintain their precision and long-term consistency.

The straight tonearm tube, made of 6000 series aluminum alloy, has a diameter of 12 mm and a wall thickness of 1 mm. The design combines high rigidity with controlled resonance behavior, thus providing a stable foundation for precise cartridge tracking.

Flexible and adaptable to different pickups

With an effective length of 242 mm and an overhang of 19 mm, the B-5.2 can be easily installed on most suitable turntables. Its effective moving mass is 10 g, allowing it to be used with cartridges weighing up to 15 g. Additional weights are available as an option, enabling the use of heavier cartridges.

The split stainless steel counterweight allows for precise adjustment to different cartridges. Furthermore, the B-5.2 offers extensive adjustment options: The tonearm height (VTA) can be set at the plinth, while the azimuth can be adjusted via a five-position thread and weight mechanism. The anti-skating force can also be adjusted via a five-position wire mechanism. A hydraulic lift allows for controlled lowering of the tonearm.

High-quality signal transmission

The internal wiring uses shielded, fine-stranded AWG36 wire made of 99.9999% OFC copper. The 1.5-meter-long, custom-made tonearm cable features a four-pin DIN/RCA connector and is designed for high-quality, low-noise signal transmission.
