The Artists of the 12th B&W Rhythm 'n' Blues Festival

Big Daddy Wilson

Big Daddy Wilson not only looks like a true soul artist, more importantly, he sings and lives soul just like the greats of the scene. He has the lively intensity of Dennis Edwards, but effortlessly reaches down into the comforting depths of a Melvin Franklin. A voice whose charisma easily captivates the listener with its own magic and instantly takes you on an acoustic journey. Look forward to an authentic artist with an unmistakable, unique style.

The American singer Dana Fuchs is a vocal marvel: she could sing the phone book and the audience would still hang on her every word. Growing up in Florida, she sang in a gospel choir as a youth and moved to Manhattan at 19, where, after a difficult start, her blues-rock career finally began. Since then, she has recorded four CDs with her Dana Fuchs Band, played the famous Janis Joplin in the musical "Love, Janis," and sang several Beatles classics as Sadie in the film "Across The Universe," songs that have now become part of her live repertoire.

Last year, the collective already celebrated their 25th stage anniversary, but even after over 500 stage performances, Soulfamily has lost none of their passion – on the contrary! On October 25th, we can once again experience this in Halle.
