Full House at Rainer Finck's Streaming Workshop

Even beforehand, the large interest in our streaming workshop was already apparent from the number of registrations. Whether it was due to the weather or the exciting topic, some additional guests dropped by spontaneously.
Full house at the streaming workshop with Rainer Finck
Audio streaming and computer hi-fi are currently the most discussed topics in the hi-fi scene. Accordingly, the interest in the workshop 'Streaming, but done right' was huge. This was certainly also due to the fact that we were able to get Rainer Finck on board for this topic, as few people know more about the possibilities and potential of digital formats. After all, he was a key developer of the network player NA-11S from Marantz and therefore knows exactly what he’s talking about.
Rainer placed the main focus – as it should be – on listening to music, and especially on comparing different formats. For example, in Germany, it’s still not widely known that DSD files in super audio CD quality are now available as digital downloads.
Overall, the audience proved to be eager to learn, leading to many questions and interesting discussions between the music tracks and after the individual workshops. Of course, it wasn’t just Rainer Finck who was happy to answer questions; the experts from AUDITORIUM also actively joined the discussions.
Whether or not the era of the CD is coming to an end doesn’t really need to be finally discussed here. What should have become clear to everyone present, however, is this: in terms of sound quality, all digital silver discs have long been surpassed by download and streaming formats. If you didn’t make it to this workshop, feel free to visit us in Hamm or Münster to experience for yourself the sonic possibilities of digital music!
