Powered by AUDITORIUM: Muenster Music Days 2014

'Passion for image and sound' naturally also means a passion for music. That’s why we are especially pleased to be able to support and present the Muenster Music Days this year. The Muenster Music Days 2014 are part of the SOUND LAKE CITY event program and are an invitation to enjoy high-quality musical experiences in a special setting and atmosphere. The more than fitting venue for the concerts is the CLOUD hall in the Factory Hotel. The dedicated team of organizers has once again managed to bring an exquisite selection of artists to Münster, promising unique musical moments. Das Auditorium will of course also be present on site, showcasing itself as well as hi-fi systems that let you bring the live experience home. In addition, we offer you a small allotment of tickets at a special price. Here is an overview of the Muenster Music Days 2014 concerts:
May 23, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. Cristina Branco | Duo Sonetta
Cristina Branco from Portugal evokes every emotion that Fado, with its close connection of voice, poetry, and music, has to offer. Respect for tradition goes hand in hand with a passion for innovation. In doing so, she has created a style that is entirely new and possibly unique. Opening for Cristina Branco will be the local band Duo Sonetta, kicking off the Muenster Music Days 2014. Musicians Sona Jafarova and Sebastian Netta move virtuously through the ancient traditional music of Azerbaijan, the Mugham. More details and tickets are available from the event organizer.
May 24, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. Richard Bona | Sylvain Luc

Born in a remote village in Cameroon, Richard Bona is today a highly sought-after bassist, singer, and songwriter, based in world cities like New York and Paris, where he effortlessly fills the largest concert halls. On his solo albums, Bona breaks down musical and cultural boundaries and finds a wonderful balance between modern grooves and traditional African melodies. Here we get to experience him together with his friend and guitarist Sylvain Luc as a rarely seen duo. More details and tickets are available from the event organizer.
May 25, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. Tingvall Trio

The Tingvall Trio, consisting of pianist and composer Martin Tingvall, bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo, and drummer Jürgen Spiegel, creates melodies whose beauty you have to dare to embrace. Authentic sounds alternate with eruptions of energy—jazz and rock are mixed together with great verve. More details and tickets are available from the event organizer.
May 28, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. Dhafer Youssef

Dhafer Youssef is a singer, plays an Arabic short-necked lute called the oud, and in his exclusively self-composed pieces combines Arabic melodies with solid jazz for compositions and improvisations never heard before. Dhafer Youssef has lived in many countries around the world and is considered a true cosmopolitan, long since no longer an insider tip in the music scene.
