Think Bigger - Samsung THE WALL Luxury

How big can a TV be? "Bigger!" is Samsung's answer.
As early as 1953, Ray Bradbury imagined screens that would take up an entire room wall. When François Truffaut adapted his novel "Fahrenheit 451" 13 years later, the director found that idea a bit too far-fetched and replaced the wall-sized screens with what were then enormous TV sets, which today seem rather amusing.
Truffaut's cautious idea of a "large" TV has long since been outpaced by reality. But 66 years later, Bradbury's vision of a wall-filling screen can finally become reality thanks to Samsung's "The Wall Luxury."

The concept for The Wall was first introduced at CES 2017 and is based on modular tiles that can be combined almost any way you want. Micro-LEDs are mounted on these tiles so that each pixel has its own light source. This enables perfect black levels and immense brightness, even and especially in bright environments.
Originally developed for display boards, advertising spaces, and other commercial uses, Samsung has now announced an impressive version of "The Wall Luxury" for upscale living and home theater settings. And luxury is truly the theme here. The display measures a breathtaking 292 inches diagonally, which equals an incredible 7.42 meters. So, you’d need a very large room just to accommodate this gigantic screen, but fortunately, smaller diagonals are also possible.

It goes without saying that at this size, the resolution must also be gigantic; with over 33 million pixels, 8K is a must here. Powerful AI-based electronics ensure that all content played back is displayed in the best possible quality on the enormous screen.
But The Wall aims to be more than just a TV. Of course, with this size, you no longer have to think about projectors, screens, or darkening the room, and you can enjoy a film in corresponding high quality in your luxury home theater. But it will also be possible to show the movie or TV program on just part of the display, while using the remaining area for additional information, smart TV apps, or other content. With a guaranteed lifespan of the self-illuminating LEDs of 100,000 hours (11.4 years of continuous operation), The Wall is designed as an "always on" display and can easily become a work of art as well. A selection of different artworks is automatically available for display, you can upload your own images, or adjust the display to the surroundings.

Samsung's "The Wall Luxury" is the ultimate luxury TV, offering a movie experience at home with gigantic size, impressive brightness, and outstanding picture quality that even modern projectors and screens can't provide. Above all, though, it is a striking example of what can happen when you let enthusiastic engineers off the leash. "The Wall Luxury" breaks the boundaries of what is technically possible. And to achieve that, the developers simply had to leave the limits of their own imagination behind.
