TV Integration: Hiding the Television

Would you like to enjoy your favorite club, the hottest series, or current movies on a beautiful, large television? But you don't want the 'TV' to dominate your interior design, preferring it to blend discreetly into the background when not in use? No problem—AUDITORIUM experts are happy to advise you about the options for elegantly integrating your TV. If desired, we can even make the device disappear entirely—no magic, just cutting-edge technology, precise planning, and flawless craftsmanship! In more than one way, modern flat-screen TVs are truly impressive. Often just a few centimeters thin, they offer huge images with vibrant colors and FullHD or even 4k resolution. But when turned off, all that remains is a large black surface that you might not want to look at. That's why AUDITORIUM has devoted a lot of effort to finding solutions that help integrate the TV unobtrusively into your living space. Various manufacturers offer a wide range of systems for this purpose, but AUDITORIUM mainly works with the flexible TV mounts and lift systems from the British manufacturer Future Automation, as they have proven themselves in practice.
Wall Mount with a Twist
One option is, for example, to recess the TV flush into the wall when it's not in use and only move it into the ideal viewing position when it's turned on. As long as the structural conditions allow, your imagination is the limit. Anything is possible—from simple tilting for a more comfortable viewing angle to swiveling 90 degrees or more.

Hiding the TV in the Ceiling
What works in the wall can, of course, work in the ceiling too—and here it is often even more discreet. Many buildings also offer better options for hiding the TV in the ceiling than in the walls. For example, the back of the lift system can be adapted in color and material to match the ceiling, so that it becomes almost invisible when closed.
TV Hidden Behind a Picture
Another popular option is to hide the TV behind a picture. When the device is turned on, the picture moves up, down, or to the side by motor, or—especially impressive—it opens to both sides like a portal.

Custom TV Furniture
If the wall or ceiling is not suitable for installation, a furniture lift may be the right solution. This can be perfectly fitted into almost any piece of furniture by working together with a cabinetmaker, as long as there is enough space for the desired screen size. Here too, the TV moves into the ideal position as if by magic when switched on and automatically disappears again when switched off. But sometimes, a major technical effort is not necessary or desired. Often it is enough to develop an elegant solution together with a fireplace builder or interior designer, for example. This way, the screen fits elegantly and unobtrusively into the overall design and no longer feels out of place. It can go as far as hiding a TV behind a mirror in the bathroom so that it is completely invisible when turned off.
Planning and Consultation
With all the options presented here, two things are especially important: careful planning and perfect cooperation between all trades involved. This is where the years of experience of the AUDITORIUM experts pay off, as they know all the technical possibilities and have learned about the needs of other parties through numerous projects. That's why they speak your language and meet you at eye level, so that everyone works together toward the same goal: the best solution for the customer.
