Update for HEOS: App and Software with New Features

Denon is equipping its multiroom music system HEOS by Denon with a comprehensive update. Starting now, the latest version of the HEOS software and the app for iOS/Android is available for all users to download for free, featuring numerous additional functions. Multiroom becomes even easier with this update, putting the focus on new features in the HEOS app:
An overview of all new features in HEOS:
Stereo pairing
Two HEOS 3 speakers can now be combined into a perfectly synchronized stereo pair even more easily. After setting up the stereo pairing, you can also adjust the balance and sound. The pair is then recognized as a single HEOS client, and a volume slider is available for it.

ALAC support
HEOS can now also access ALAC files directly from your computer, a NAS (Network Attached Storage), or a USB drive.
"Multiroom home theater": IP control of network-enabled Denon AV receivers via the HEOS Link
The update now also allows bidirectional control of Denon network-enabled AV receivers in combination with the HEOS Link preamplifier. This makes it possible to operate Denon home theater systems exactly like the HEOS speakers themselves, resulting in the first "multiroom home theater" of its kind.

Multiroom integration with other control systems
The update also opens the protocol for third-party control systems. With the help of custom, certified HEOS drivers, these systems can now be fully integrated into media control systems with HEOS by Denon, including integrated playlist and room management features. Denon will continue to consistently pursue this type of support, update protocols, and provide drivers or plug-ins for some systems itself in the future.
Country selection
Want to use the HEOS system abroad? No problem: simply change your location via the app. This can be helpful if other streaming services are available in that region. More information about HEOS in the Auditorium is available.
