The AudioQuest BigFoot BASS speaker cable represents top performance in high-end audio systems. Specially designed for driving bass and midrange inputs in bi-wiring or tri-wiring configurations, this cable ensures a noticeably cleaner, more dynamic, and distortion-free signal transmission.
Innovative technologies for unadulterated sound
A key component of the sonic success is the patented ZERO-Tech technology. By eliminating the electrostatic field between the conductors, a fixed characteristic impedance is no longer required. As a result, current pulses flow completely uncompressed and free from impedance matching issues between the amplifier and loudspeaker. The result is extremely fast, powerful, and clear bass reproduction.
This design is complemented by RF/ND-Tech Level 10 (Radio Frequency Noise Dissipation). High-frequency noise and interfering signal interference are effectively dissipated across the entire frequency spectrum. An integrated common-mode phase correction array ensures uniform noise dissipation along the entire cable length.
Premium materials for minimal distortion
Only solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) is used for the signal conductors. The smoothness of the copper surface reduces distortion at the material boundaries to an absolute minimum. Since solid conductors prevent interactions between the individual strands, dynamic distortions are reliably eliminated. The metal's natural, asymmetrical grain structure is utilized through targeted directional optimization to effectively remove RF interference from the signal path.
The active 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with RF Noise Trap ensures a constant bias voltage of the dielectric. This technology minimizes the inherent noise of the insulation and permanently optimizes the broadband dissipation of high-frequency interference. Furthermore, the factory-applied Permanent Molecular Optimization (PMO) profoundly and sustainably improves the sonic characteristics of the dielectric.
Perfectly thought-out design and installation
The spatially separated routing of the positive and negative conductors in their own housings offers two significant advantages: The flexibility in installation increases noticeably, and valuable space is created inside for additional noise dissipation materials.
Equipped with cold-welded connectors made of high-purity red copper and finished with direct silver plating, the cable offers outstanding contact. To prevent the coupling of high-frequency interference at the ends, the connector housings and speaker branches are made of specially developed ABS plastic instead of metal.
The ideal upgrade for bi-wiring setups
The BigFoot BASS truly shines when used with ZERO-Tech cables from the Lone Ranger or Athena series. By separating the high-frequency and low-frequency signals, high bass currents are kept away from the sensitive high-frequency path. This results in drastically reduced modulation distortion and a breathtakingly clean overall sound.
(Note: Due to the specific tuning of the RF/ND technology, the BigFoot BASS is designed exclusively for use up to 10 kHz and must not be used as a full-range or high-frequency cable.)
