The STAX SR-X9000 is the new top model from Stax. It has been completely redeveloped and promises a thrilling sound experience that puts the listener directly into the musical scene.
The Japanese manufacturer does not refer to its models as headphones, but as ear speakers. Following tradition, the new SR-X 9000 is also an electrostatic system.
For the SR-X9000, Stax has developed a new electrode with a grid structure that is more rigid. Compared to the previous top model SR-009S, the area of the film has been increased by 20%. This was achieved while saving weight at the same time, resulting in excellent transient characteristics.
The STAX SR-X9000 realizes the widest sound field ever.
Vibration-reducing housing: Made of stiff aluminum
The housing of the driver units are elaborately made of robust aluminum. This new design firmly fixes the sound unit and completely eliminates unnecessary vibrations.
The anti-tip design
The protective grille of the SR-X9000 has also been redesigned. In contrast to the classic variant installed parallel to the sound unit, the new protective grille has pillars of different heights at the front and rear. This varies the height of the gap between the transducer and the protective grille, eliminating any reflections. The result is a perfectly clear, transparent sound image.
Stainless steel headband assembly with 9-step adjustment click system
The Stax SR-X9000 adapts smoothly to the user's ears because it has a new headband assembly that is much more tolerant of torsion. The I-shaped stabilizer on top of the headband assembly virtually eliminates vibration.
Comfortable ear pads: guarantee long listening pleasure
Stax uses high-quality, particularly soft lamb leather for the comfortable and precisely fitting ear pads. This has excellent breathability and ensures that the SR-X9000 fits snugly but comfortably around the ears for a long time. Fatigue effects are excluded and replaced by undisturbed music enjoyment.
The Stax SR-X9000 offers an exceptional music experience. It impresses with a lively sound that combines precise bass reproduction with outstanding transparency and dynamics.
STAX Original: Low-Capacity Wide Hybrid Cable
The core of the classic Stax connection cable, which consists of six parallel wires, consists of 6NCu, a copper wire of the highest purity. This is wrapped with a silver-plated copper wire and ensures optimal signal transmission. The cable entries are inclined forward for ergonomic reasons and enable optimal adjustment to the head.
Noble: the storage case made of paulownia wood
The high-quality storage case made of paulownia wood is the ideal storage solution for the new Stax SR-X9000. The material has a low thermal conductivity and very good moisture regulation.
