Burmester 001 CD player – High-end CD player with preamplifier
The Burmester 001 combines uncompromising CD playback with the functionality of a high-quality preamplifier. This meticulously engineered high-end component offers an integrated CD drive, four digital inputs, balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, and digital outputs, allowing for flexible integration into sophisticated hi-fi and high-end systems.
For precise signal processing, CD signals and external digital signals are upscaled to 24-bit/96 kHz by Burmester DSP and then converted via four D/A converters in a balanced configuration. The analog output stage is based on Burmester X-Amp technology, is fully balanced, and operates in pure Class A mode.
The integrated electronic volume control with 60 steps is particularly practical. This allows the Burmester 001 to be directly connected to a power amplifier and used as a central digital source. Two analog filters also allow for individual sound adjustment.
Burmester also prioritizes the highest precision in mechanical aspects. The in-house belt-drive mechanism sits on a solid aluminum plate and is elaborately decoupled from the chassis. High-quality bearing technology, a specially treated drive belt, and the carbon spring system of the feet underscore the uncompromising design standards.
The Burmester 001 combines precise digital technology, high-quality analog signal processing and flexible connection options to create a versatile high-end CD player with integrated preamplifier function.
