The KEF R11 Meta is the flagship model of the R Series, combining high-quality craftsmanship with innovative speaker technology for detailed, dynamic, and powerful sound reproduction. As a large three-way floorstanding speaker, it combines the 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) with four powerful 165 mm hybrid aluminum woofers. This results in the R11 Meta delivering a superior combination of precise detail resolution, high dynamics, and controlled bass.
At its heart is the 12th generation Uni-Q® driver with MAT™, which focuses the high and mid frequencies in a point source configuration. This results in more even sound distribution throughout the room and a significantly wider sweet spot. KEF's proprietary Metamaterial Absorption Technology absorbs up to 99% of unwanted sound energy on the back of the tweeter. This reduces distortion and contributes to exceptionally clear and natural sound reproduction.
Precise high-frequency reproduction is ensured by the 25mm vented aluminum dome tweeter, while the 125mm midrange driver is also made of aluminum. Four 165mm woofers with hybrid aluminum cones deliver the necessary bass power. Precise dispersion is further enhanced by the Shadow Flare design adopted from KEF's Reference series. This specially profiled cabinet shape reduces unwanted diffraction effects in the high-frequency range and improves detail.
With a sensitivity of 90 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the R11 Meta can be flexibly combined with powerful amplifiers. Its frequency response ranges from 46 Hz to 28 kHz at ±3 dB, while its extended frequency range covers 30 Hz to 50 kHz. In a room, the R11 Meta can achieve a typical bass response down to 26 Hz. A maximum sound pressure level of 113 dB underscores its impressive power reserves.
