THE GRYPHON

ANTILEON EVO MONO CLASS A POWER AMPLIFIER

Like its predecessor, the original Antileon, the Antileon Signature was born a classic and immediately established itself in high-end circles as one of the most acclaimed amps of all time. Devotees around the world praise its unique ability to grip even the most demanding speakers and reveal the heart of any musical performance.

Timeless and evolutionary

The high quality of workmanship and the elegant, organic shape are of timeless beauty and correspond to the exquisite musical enjoyment that the Gryphon Antileon EVO power amplifier offers.

Gryphon takes the next evolutionary step with the Antileon EVO, available in stereo and single-channel configurations. You have to experience the extreme high-current capability of the Gryphon Antileon EVO live! The Gryphon Antileon EVO, like all Gryphon amps before it, is a true high current design. With its exceptional peak-to-peak current capacity, the Gryphon Antileon EVO ensures compatibility with even the most reactive speakers, allowing your speaker of choice to perform at its best.

Massive power reserves

Gryphon Antileon EVO uses true Class A bias so full power output is available at all times. In situations where the full power of the Antileon EVO is not required (e.g. a small room, music only for background listening, etc.), the owner has the option of full or reduced Class-A via the front panel controls -Preload to choose.

For more flexible use, when used in conjunction with a Gryphon preamp, Gryphon's proprietary Green Bias Link allows you to automatically adjust the power amp bias depending on the position of the preamp's volume control. So you always have class A performance available when you need it and can draw on massive performance reserves.

Unique interior

Discreet from the outside, on the other hand, a lot happens inside the fully symmetrical Class A power amplifier with double-deck electrolytic capacitor banks, which are connected to the mains via two mains switches and two detachable mains cables. The two specially designed 1500 W toroidal transformers are mechanically isolated from the housing. A special epoxy resin is used to optimize the transformer's vibration damping. For added isolation, the shielded, epoxy-damped enclosure is mounted in a suspension system for effective vibration isolation. Apart from the shielded transformer housing, only non-magnetic materials are used throughout the Gryphon Antileon EVO.

The separate driver section features its own generous, independently regulated bank of Gryphon capacitors fed from separate windings of the transformers. A unique mechanical design ensures optimal thermal tracking between drivers and output devices.

The bypass capacitors are located near the output transistors and not, as is usually the case, directly at the power capacitors. This contributes to significantly improved high-frequency performance.

Internal wiring has been kept to an absolute minimum, consisting of a single short length of Gryphon Guideline Reference silver wire with gold inlay.

Two sets of heavy duty gold plated binding posts of Gryphon's own design are provided for bi-wiring. The proprietary multi-way terminals can be connected with bare wire, spade lugs, banana plugs, or any combination thereof.

Extreme precision

Each driver component is fitted into the next with extreme precision for a resonance-free structure, while each part is machined to tight tolerances. The perforated top panel provides additional ventilation and heat dissipation. The front panel is milled from a solid 40mm black block of acrylic which houses the LED display and easily accessible front panel controls.

With the exception of the front panel, the Antileon EVO's exterior is made entirely of brushed black anodized aluminum with countersunk Allen screws for a seamless appearance.
