From the demands of a mass choir to full rock 'n' roll, the MC2301 delivers the extraordinarily vibrant and dynamic performance ever heard from a McIntosh tube amp. With an output power of 300 watts, it delivers enough high power to operate even the most demanding loudspeakers.
Thanks to McIntosh's patented Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer, that full 300 watts are available for 2, 4 or 8 ohm speakers.
The MC2301 is McIntosh's first tube amp to use the Quad Balanced design. This design virtually eliminates all interference and distortion in the audio signal. The result is that the signal is virtually distortion-free, even at high gain levels. The Sentry Monitor™ fuseless short-circuit protection circuit shuts down the output stage before the current exceeds the safe operating level and then automatically resets itself. Balanced and unbalanced cable inputs are available to provide flexibility when connecting the rest of the audio system.
The attractive blue meter is flanked by two rows of output tubes which, together with the brushed aluminum knobs and handles, all blending effortlessly with the polished stainless steel body, make the front panel even more visually appealing.
