In-Akustik Reference NF-2404 Air
Precision and transparency for demanding hi-fi systems
The In-Akustik Reference NF-2404 Air was developed for demanding hi-fi systems where the lowest possible loss and interference-free signal transmission is required. Its sophisticated construction combines high-quality materials with innovative Air-Helix technology.
Air as a dielectric
The central principle of the Reference 2404 Air series is the consistent use of air as a dielectric. A special plastic construction keeps the conductors at a defined distance, thus enabling a high air content within the cable structure.
The NF-2404 Air utilizes two cross-link super-speed waveguides. The design is complemented by a tinned pure copper braid for shielding. The goal of this sophisticated geometry is to achieve low signal loss as well as low resistance, inductance, and capacitance values.
Detailed and musical
Sonically, the Reference NF-2404 Air impresses with a transparent, well-defined, and dynamic sound reproduction. Voices and instruments appear more precise in the soundstage, while subtle timbres and dynamic variations are clearly brought out.
Despite its high level of detail, the cable doesn't sound cold or overly analytical. In listening tests, a slight warmth and a particularly tangible rendering of low instruments were described.
